Lewis Hiney - Owner and Lead Sports Therapist

BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy

Founder and lead sports therapist at Preston Sports Clinic, Lewis is well experienced in the assessment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries. From 2013-2018 Lewis was the first team sports therapist for Preston North End football club. His role involved assessing and rehabilitating first team players to be ready at the highest level on a daily basis. At the end of 2018 Lewis left his position at PNE to focus on Preston Sports Clinic full time. In June 2017 Lewis was nominated and runner up in the Lancashire Post Health Hero Awards for 'Therapist of the Year'. Lewis' passion and drive is to bring the highest quality of care and commitment to everyone's injuries whether non-sports related or elite athletic rehabilitation. 

 

Jakub Galis - Sports Therapist

MSc Sports Medicine

Jakub is a well-rounded sports therapist focusing on assessment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries as well as providing excellent soft tissue treatments and techniques including sports massage. He has a sports therapy degree as well as a MSc in Sports Medicine studied at the University of Central Lancashire.

Alongside his current role at the clinic, Jakub is also the assistant academy therapist (women) for Manchester City Football Club. Jakub was previously the lead therapist for Blackburn Rovers Women FC for three seasons, he started his journey at Blackburn Rovers FC as the Regional Talent Centre sports therapist overseeing medical provisions for the players aged 10-16. Jakub also has experience in top division Slovakian football and table tennis.

 

Ethan Seel - Sports Therapist

Ethan has a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy, completing his studies at the University of Central Lancashire. Ethan is an experienced sports therapist, alongside his work at PSC Ethan is full time at Preston North End FC as first team sports therapist, providing rehabilitation and recovery of first team players. Ethan has previous experience at; Salford City FC, Bolton Wanderers (1st team), Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves.

 

Nicole Smith - Sports Therapist

MSc Sports, Physical Activity and Mental Health (ongoing)

Nicole has a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy, completing her degree at Edge Hill University and is currently studying a Masters at Edge Hill. Nicole is a passionate sports therapist who enjoys helping individuals with their injuries and recovery needs. Nicole also works at Blackpool Football Club working with young talented footballers as an academy sport therapist. Alongside her sports therapy work Nicole coaches young aspiring gymnasts as a qualified British Gymnastics coach.

 

Isiaka Balogun - Physiotherapist

Isiaka is a dual trained HCPC registered physiotherapist and sports therapist with a masters in Sport and Exercise Science. Isiaka has worked in a multitude of environments including elite sport, NHS, private practice and higher education institutions. 

Isiaka has worked over Europe and the Far East providing physiotherapy to teams and athletes. His clinical interests are sports injuries, back pain, long term conditions and paediatrics.

Alongside his work at PSC Isiaka is wokrs within the NHS and within Liverpool FC academy.

Isiaka plays American football in his spare time and has previously competed nationally and internationally in karate and table tennis.

 

Neil Frost - Physiotherapist

MSc Musculoskeletal Management (ongoing)

Neil has been a HCPC registered physiotherapist since 2012, initially rotating for experience across all settings as a rotational physiotherapist before settling into a specialist MSK Physiotherapist role since 2015.

Currently working as an experienced band 7 Clinical Specialist MSK Physiotherapist, Neil has gained a wide variety of knowledge, skills and experiences across several NHS services in the Northwest, including time working at an orthopaedic centre of excellence and a spinal surgery specialist hospital.

Neil is working to complete his Masters in Musculoskeletal Management and actively involved in clinical education of physiotherapy students and assistant practitioners. Outside of work Neil enjoys keeping as active, playing and watching football, weightlifting, cycling and golf as life allows!
